Hi can someone tell me the purpose of AdaBoost classifiers? Is the Harr feature based AdaBoost classifier same like normal classic AdaBoost classifiers? I have a project in which this method of Harr feature based classifier is used to detect the tail lights and brake lights of a vehicle in the paper named "A robust detection method of vehicle queue and dissipation during evening rush hours".Another method is also used in this paper to maintain a window for queue length named Duplex Flexible Window. If anyone have idea about these two methods or used some where,so please help me i shall be very thankful.

Sorry, I am not going to look at the paper you mention. FWIW, I suspect that Harr features is what you extract from an image using tools appropriate for image analysis. Then you apply the standard well-known AdaBoost algorithm to these extracted features. I am not an expert on image processing and cannot advise you on extraction of Harr features. But I can tell you that AdaBoost is provided in the Statistics Toolbox in 11a in fitensemble function.
