Symbolic calculation with partitioned matrices

Hello, I am currently trying to do symbolically some matricial operations and I am running out of memory because of the big size of the matrices involved. The matrices have a well defined block structure though and many simplification could be done in order to make the calculations faster. Is there any way to exploit the partitioning of the matrices with the Symbolic Math Toolbox? Thanks.
