Display Name associations in the Plot Browser

Currently, the "Display Name" visible in my "Plot Brwser" lists the "Variable Name" along with the associated rows & columns for each data set. However, if I choose to change the name to something meaningful such as "Pressure 1" I have to do so in the "Property Editor". That is fine if I only need to do this once or on a small array. However, if my data array contains well over 100 columns this becomes cumbersome.
I have attempted to associtae string names to specific columns in my data array that would then be displayed in the "Plot Browser" window instead of the alphanumeric designation of rows & columns for each data set plotted.
I have had NO success. Can anyone assist me on this matter? I find it hard to believe that MATLAB would not have this capability. Any HELP is greatly appreciated.

I have been able to create a cell identified as "colheaders". However, I have not been able to get the "Plot Browser" "Display Name" to reference or associate with the "colheaders" cell. If I can make this association then any time I change the plot I will not have to manually retype the "Display Name".
Any help to expedite this solution?
