How to save data blocks in separate matrices?

I have an image (e.g image.jpg), then i want to divide them into blocks/matrix, then save each matrix/block in a variable. Please help me out im very new to matlab.

And also the purpose of dividing into blocks is because the image is too big to give me a single matrix in matlab. Please help me out guys
