Linking Simulink including matlab function with script file

I have a simulink file that one of the blocks is changed with its codes on a matlab function,initial condition for this codes is stored in a script(.m)file and is running before simulink file. but when I run simulink it says variables(initial condition variables in script file)are nor defined.
