Can I edit the code in a "Matlab Function" simulink block from the Matlab command line.

I am using a "Matlab Function"(simulink/User Defined Functions/MATLAB Function) block for an embedded program but the code that I want to use in the "Matlab Function" block is being generated by a script. At the moment I am writing the code to an m-file and then copying and pasting it to the "Matlab Function" simulink block. Is there a way to write the code directly to the "Matlab Function" block?
