Error: "Your username does not match the username in the license file."

I just installed MATLAB and in going through the steps of setting up an account and downloading/installing on my computer I must have mistakenly written the wrong name or email somewhere along the line. Now when I try to open the application I have the error message: "License checkout failed. License Manager Error-9 Your username does not match the username in the license file." And I don't know how to change/fix it.

Why is it just with this version that we are suddenly getting a bazillion "error -9" questions per day? It reminds me of the Yosemite situation last year. Is there a totally different protocol now than with prior versions?

I was wondering myself. The last documented change I see for the license server software format was R2014a. I did notice that quite a portion of the people asking are students, and R2015b Student Version is only the second autumn Student Version in Mathworks' history, so some of it could be attributed to more users. But that does not explain everything.
