Is there a way to export a 3D plot so that it can still be toggled?

I assume you are referring to the ability to rotate and interact with the options of the image. You can do this by saving your figure as a .fig file. This option will allow you to load the image in MATLAB and provide you the ability to continue to rotate and view the figure.
