Hello, I have a Matlab 2010b running on Win 7, 64 b. I need a C compiler, and the site http://se.mathworks.com/support/compilers/R2010b/win64.html lists MS VS Express versions 2008 and 2010. Mex setup accepts only these Express versions.
Links of both v. 2008 and 2010 lead to the same page: https://www.visualstudio.com/en-US/products/visual-studio-express-vs#Visual_Studio_2008_Express_Downloads. Only viable alternative seems to be 'Express for Desktop', because 'Express for Windows' demands Win 10. Express for Desktop installs 'Express 2015 for Windows Desktop'. Its path is "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 14.0\Common7\IDE\WDExpress.exe".
Mex setup does not recognize this only alternative MS has to offer me.
What am I to do?

Hi Tuomas,
In order to download VS Express 2008, I searched for “visual studio 2008 express” using Google which gave me the below https://go.microsoft.com/ link. (This link downloads the setup file directly onto your machine)
This may help you install the required version of Visual Studio. Additionally, the below link may be useful in setting it up:
Hope this helps!
