Finding position of equal columns in two matrices.

First of apologies in advance if this question has already been asked.

I have two binary images of equal size, for our task we need overlay these images but one with a certain offset to the right. We are not given this offset and it is in finding this value that I am having trouble with. There is a note to think about where the columns of pixel value has minimal difference.

Q:Is there way I can find out these equal column values. I would aim to plot these images once the offset is known.
