How can I use a gaussian fit on an asymmetrical peak?

I'm trying to use a gaussian fit on a mercury emission line, but the peak is asymmetric. How should I adjust the parameters for a more accurate fit? I attached a picture of the peak and the fit

Maybe try fitdist() with a 'LogNormal' distribution to fit a skewed Gaussian.
