Code to change matlab window size?

I know how to position a figure window and change its size, but is it possible to change the size and position of the actual matlab application window with code? I would like to do the equivalent of snapping a window to half the screen like that done within winodws OS. This would be done at the start of a script so a user could see both the figure and command window while interacting with the running script.

CmdWinTool('Position', [1, 100, 800, 800]);
CmdWinTool('YMax'); % maximize vertically

A much easier alternative would be to dock the figure, which places it within the main MATLAB window and thus makes everything visible at once:
