2015a AvantGarde Font for PDF printing

I seem to be having a little trouble printing my figure to PDF with the AvantGarde font in 2015a. I wrote my code originally in 2013b and did not have any trouble with exporting the PDF with the AvantGarde font. While the plot window shows the font correctly the Matlab ghostscript drivers don't seem to be rendering the PDF fonts correctly.

Does anybody know why the print function is defaulting to Courier when I have specified AvantGarde. Was this font removed for PDF in the latest versions?
