Matlab won't recognize the mex compiler I installed

I have installed an SDK compiler on my computer, but when I type "mex -setup" in the command window I get the following error:

Error using mex No supported compiler or SDK was found. For options, visit http://www.mathworks.com/support/compilers/R2015a/win64.html.

Is there something I have to do to help Matlab find the compiler? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
