is it possible to control HP scanner through GUI?

I want to connect my HP scanner in GUI, so that I can control it. For example, if I click scan in GUI, it will automatically scan the paper placed in the scanner. The interface of my HP scanner is USB. I need this for my research project. Thank you very much.....

There might be some additional options if your scanner does support a VISA interface like your tag suggests. Which model is it?

hp-officejet-4255-all-in-one-printer,it has a printer, scanner, and fax. The scanner supports TWAIN. Is it possible to use VISA interface in this device? I recently searched about VISA interface, and it is related on USB interface that's why I add it on tag.

I am not certain, but the evidence I see suggests to me that there is no VISA interface for that line of printers.

I do not use MS Windows so I have no recommendations.

I do own an HP Officejet printer, but I have it on a network interface, and I have never needed to control the scanner from within MATLAB.
