MDCS excluding headnode from worker list

2 views (last 30 days)
Hi,
I am currently using MDCS v4.2 installed on an homogeneous cluster with a headnode and six compute nodes with all the machines running Windows Server 2008 HPC. We followed the installation instructions from Mathwork to setup the software and thought that the headnode (who is the MDCS controller) would not be included in the workers list but that did not happen. This is rather inconvenient as we have some other apps running in the headnode and woul like it not to be a MDCS worker. Does anyone know how to prevent the headnode from being also a worker ?
Would appreciate any help anyone could give us on solving this problem...
Regards,
Luis

If you are running HPC Server, you will need to turn off the compute node role for the head node.
Right click the head node in the HPC Server manager console, click "change role" (it may need to be offline), and then uncheck the "compute node" role. This should prevent workers from running on the head node.
