I want a matlab code for OFDM using 16 QAM as a signal mapper

I have generated a signal and I am encoding it using this code: [given] but the third element is 17 when I am expecting 16. Could someone explain why the calculation is not giving what I expect?

You have the [OPthoughts,status] = readOPmind(OPnonsense). Where OPNONSENSE is a string or a cellstring.

Can you share it with us (I expect you to use readOPmind to get who I am referring to...)
