Dear all, I have the same question like here : http://stackoverflow.com/questions/5088982/matlab-prevent-figures-from-being-made-active.
As far as I konw the solution I look for is not in any matlab programming, but in matlab or windows option. Why? I runned the same script, before on Win7 family edition and the windows did not poped up while I was working on an other software. Now, I work on Win7 Pro (Matlab has been desintalled and reinstalled) and the same script pops up my figure when I work on MS Excel for example. Seems almost nothing but it makes me so angry !
Hoping you have the explanation,
Olivier

Please try this:
Regedit (create a backup before, as usual!)
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop
Set |ForegroundLockTimeout| to decimal 0
Logoff or restart Windows
I'm not sure if this works, because I do not have the problem on Win7SP1/64 Professional and Matlab 2009a/2011b.
[EDITED] Somebody suggested to use the hexadecimal 30d40 instead of 0. ?!
