the ant colony optimisation program has errors is there a debugged program available. will i be able to apply this for x ray images

Yes, there will be after you use the debugger to debug it.

Presumably you've seen a paper that reported success with that method on x-ray images. I have no idea if that particular edge finding method will be good for your x-ray images - you'll have to try it and see.
