I have a simulink model for which the hdl has been generated but i don't know how to view it.

Do you mean it is in a format that cannot be opened in a text editor? DSP Builder is actually an Altera product (not from MathWorks), so you might have better luck on Altera forums.

Sorry, I really have no experience with DSP Builder. Altera Support might be a better option.

If you are using HDL Coder, the source code by default is located in a directory named 'hdlsrc', located under MATLAB's current working directory. This is user-configurable frmo the command line via the 'TargetDirectory' parameter-value pair, or by the relevant text entry box in the Configuration Parameters->HDL Code Generation parameter GUI.

Tim: It's looks like the OP is using Altera's DSP Builder, and not Simulink HDL Coder. Do the Configuration Parameters still apply?
