LCI fed synchronous motor

Dear Friends, I am modeling a three phase load commutated inverter (LCI) fed synchronous motor(SM) drive. In the model of SM, voltage source is inputed, and load current is the output from SM model. But LCI gives the current (not voltage). how can I give the inverter current in my SM model? Should I remodel my SM model, taking the current as input and give the voltage as output? Please also mention the way to connect my conventional model with the current/voltage source block of simpower. Thanks...

hi, i am also modeling the LCI fed large synchronous motor with the SM block in simulink library. I think this SM block was originally developed as generator other than motor. In this way, when your input is current source (namely, LCI), this model would fail to operate properly. I am also struggling to solve this problem, just wondering if you have already worked it out. if so, can u let me know how you made it through? thanks.
