Launching MATLAB from Visual studio 2010 as an Automation Server in Desktop Mode

1 view (last 30 days)
I am able to interface c code developed using visual studio 2010 and matlab automation server. But the matlab desktop application does not load, just the matlab command window. How can we tweak engOpen to call matlab desktop application and not just the command window?

Since the MATLAB Engine API on Windows uses COM anyway, perhaps you could use the automation server interface directly? See Launching MATLAB as an Automation Server in Desktop Mode.
I don't think there is a way to start with the desktop using the Engine API, but you can use the "desktop" command to launch the desktop after you start MATLAB using engOpen.
