How do I fix an "out of memory" error when opening Simulink Library Browser? (MATLAB R2011b)

1 view (last 30 days)
Hello,
I had the simulink library browser working a few days ago. I try opening over the past couple days and it keeps telling me I'm "Out of Memory."
Exact quote: "Error: The Simulink Library Browser failed to initialize. Out of memory. Type HELP MEMORY for your options."
I've run the help memory. I've run memory diagnostics on my PC, and I've looked online to try and increase the amount of memory that MATLAB can access, but no dice. It crashes anytime I try to run the library browser more than once. I don't know why this has started acting up all of a sudden, but I need to get the library browser running.
Please note that Simulink is running, as well as MATLAB. I can create a model, but can't open the Simulink Library Browser to access the blocks (gain, sum, etc.).
Thanks.
-Tobias

Hi there!
I have run into this very same problem today following a certain chain of events (which included windows update, uninstalling an old MATLAB version and updating java).
I found the following solution helpful (it involves deleting your preferences folder).
I hope it helps.
