i need to write down my file names in a m.file ?

i am new at matlab .

i have to write down my file names

i have more than one hundred files and their names like this;

060820101231  
020820101546 
060820101304 
090820102216 
020820102220
060820101448

060820101502

is there a possible way to do this ?

Do the names mean anything (e.g., a date in MMDDYYYYHHMM format). Is there a pattern to the names?

Are you files all in the same directory? Do they have an extension? Do you just want to write your file names to a new text file, or are you trying to use them as values stored in a variable?
