In solving a problem using ga, I'll use this command :ga(fitnessfcn, nvars,A,b,Aeq,beq,LB,UB,nonlcon, options). My question is that: Can matlab accept matrix A to be of size(2616 X 1130) and b of size (1130 X 1) or I'll have Java.lang out of memory error???

This document has detailed memory info:
Do you have MATLAB installed? If so, you can just create a variable that large, and empirically see if it works.

Thanx a lot. I tried rand(#rows, #columns) with the dimensions I need and it worked.

Might depend on your machine and operating system. I have no problem with that size array on my Mac running 64-bit MATLAB. I suspect 32-bit would be a problem, but I forget the exact size limitation.

Actually I'm using win32-bit and a RAM of 2G only!!
So from where can I know the size limitation??
Thanks in advance.
