Does anyone know if MATLAB Builder JA (R2012a) applications work on Sun Solaris platform?

AFAIK, Solaris is not a supported platform for MATLAB in general. So I would think that MATLAB Builder JA components cannot be deployed on it either, because the accompanying MATLAB Compiler Runtime (MCR) libraries will not execute.

Hi Kaustubha, do you know (or know someone who could know) if applications build on Linux work on Solaris? Thanks

The Linux and Solaris (SPARC) binary types are different, so they will not run natively. You might be able to use some sort of emulator and/or virtual machine to run them, but there's no guarantee that they will work, perform well, etc.
It's kind of equivalent to trying to run Windows applications on Linux (or vice versa)
