fixed displacement pump analog in pneumatics

4 views (last 30 days)
Hi, I'm trying to create compressed air system model with pneumatics in simscape and I missed something like fixed-displacement pump (in SimHydraulic) analog in pneumatics library of simscape. Ideal pressure source is not enought for my modeling since there is no clue of what mass (or volume) flow rate it generates (ideal flow source doesn't allow for pressure assigning). Maybe there is some way to use other pneumatic components to model fixed displacement pump (more specifically, rotary screw air compressor)?

I'm not very familiar with modelling pneumatic components, but if you have a mathematical model of your air compressor, you can use the Simscape language to create a custom block. Alternatively, you can probably create a simple model of an air compressor, using the blocks provided in the Simscape foundation library, such as:
