How to generate code and upload the code into DSP without using RTDX from Matlab-Simulink?

This is my current situation. I'm working in a project for which I would like to load the code to read in signals, manipulate the signals, and then output them. I have been doing this through the RDTX channels to communicate from DSP and computer and vice versa. However, my ultimate goal would be to read, manipulate, and output data without using the computer for anything. Is this possible by just connecting the signals together and uploading the code into the DSP w/o the RDTX channels? Or what other possible way can I do this?
