Hi. I am hoping to give my data lat/lon spatial reference (georeference?) from a polar coordinate system. What's convenient (or maybe not so convenient) is that data I have was collected from a polar satellite and is already spatially polar.. I just need to tag or overlay a lat/lon system onto it so I know the respective lat/lon of each grid point in my array/matrix.
Is there a way to do this? The question is vague because I don't have the slightest idea how to do something like this. Any leads would be greatly appreciated.

I doubt MATLAB could help with your problem. Try instead any remote sensing software such as ENVI.

Andrew Bliss has kindly shared polarstereo_inv on file exchange, and his function does exactly what you describe. I tinkered with polarstereo_inv a little bit and renamed it ps2ll in the Antarctic Mapping Tools package.
