automatic measurement of the femur

Is there someone have the experience of the image measurement?I have segmented the femur out.and now i want to find some methods for the automatic measurement of the femur head radius and the axis of the neck and shaft.my mask is http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/232/femur.jpg/.Thankyou first!

I am just wondering how did you segmented the femur out. Is it done by manual (hand) or using some tools. And could you segmented the femur out with texture (image) rather than black and white?

You might use imfindcircle() in the R2012a Image Processing Toolbox. It can find partial circles like that.

No, I've tried this new function. It seemed that it cannot be used on the overlapping region like pelvis and femoral head.

I never said it could.

Since anatomical structures like the pelvis are not circles, needless to say (or maybe it does need to be said) one should not expect imfindcircles() to do well on those kinds of images.
