How to simulate keyboard and mouse inputs?

I have a problem that I think is coming from windows 10. When my PC is idle for even a few minutes it will either hang or reboot. I am not going to go thru the details. I have been dealing with this issue since about December of 2018 and it is July of 2019. I am a technical person and have tried everything reasonable and have done my online reseach. I am not asking how to solve this problem. Since it usually happens when the PC is idle for any length of time, I assume if I can make it think that the keys on the keyboard are being pressed or the mouse is being clicked, then it will be much more likely to not crash - I do not expect a 100% solution as I think the issue is wrapped too deeply in the system. I have tried everything else and I believe this is buried deep in MS incompetance. So I am okay with a workaround as I think it is unlikely that MS can ever solve this problem. So, is there any way to simulate input from keyboard or mouse using matlab that will fool the PC? I am sure there are easy ways but they have to fool the system (windows 10) into believing there is constant activity. That is the key.
