Hello, listeners.....
Is there a known and set date for the expiration of MatLab 2008A support, after which installations of this version will no longer be able to receive a license from a license server? We have one lab here that currently depends on still using this particular version of MatLab together with a 2008 version of National Instruments LabView and Quanser, all due to old teaching hardware used
Anyone?
thx Thomas

If you are using flexlm and a Network License, then you are fine indefinitely, as long as your hardware and your already-keyed license server holds up.
Provided, that is, that the license is not a yearly academic campus license: those have expiration dates on them and new licenses must, I gather, be issued yearly for those.
A tricky point is if you wish to change license server, or if the hardware of your license server changes enough that the flexmid changes: in that case you would need to get Mathworks to reissue the license file. I do not know their policy of how long they will keep reissuing the license file.
Specific questions should be raised with Mathworks, licensing@mathworks.com
