parallel port adaptor for DAQ toolbox in 2012b 64-bit?

I am running version 2012b 64-bit within Windows 7. I would like to interface with a parallel port (manufactured by SIIG), but have been unable to find code that allows detection of parallel ports using the session-based interface, and digitalio is no longer supported. Is this possible, or should I revert to 32-bit Matlab on my 64-bit platform?*

*Update: just learned that parallel ports do not work with the data acquisition toolbox when running 32-bit Matlab on 64-bit OS.

Hi! I have the exact same problem. Running a matlab version 2015a 64-bit within Windows 7 but unable to detect a parallel port using the session-based interface with data acquisition toolbox, not keen on reverting to 32-bit Matlab. Did you find any solution?
