How can I connect my smart phone with Matlab?

Our group are using iphone/ipad to return real time video feedback to our Matlab program. We would also like to get the touch information because we want to tell where a specific object is in real time video. I know ip cam is able to connect to matlab, but it does not return touch information. Is there any other way to do that? Thank you for your help.
