Accepted answer

According to Einstein, NO, it is not possible to tell the distinguish the person jumping compared to the world moving around the person (e.g., a fast elevator)

Thanks Walter.. How about the actions such as walking, jogging ? All the above actions are performed inside a room. Can MATLAB recognize and tell.

No. Consider a treadmill moving under the person.

False motion techniques like this are used a lot in movies.

You can perhaps identify that it looks like the person is jumping, or looks like they are walking or jogging, but you cannot distinguish the case of the person moving compared to the surroundings, from the case of the surroundings moving compared to the person. There is no absolute motion.

You need to look at sections 16, 18, and 21 and pick an algorithm

Then code it up and come back here if you need to.

Contact the authors of the papers and see if they will give you some. I can't answer for them.
