Unexpected Mex-file Platform-dependent issues

I compiled a mex file on 64-bit Windows XP, using Visual Studio 2005, with Matlab 2007b.
The Mex function compiled on other platforms works fine.
In 64-bit Windows 7, the mex function causes Matlab to crash when I use Matlab 2011x, but seems to work fine with Matlab 2012b.
Any thoughts on this apparent Matlab-verison sensitivity on Windows 7?

Without seeing the part of the code, which causes the error, it is impossible to guess the details. Look through the list of fixed bugs to find a large number of documented problems. But there are much more problems, which are either not known, or not documented in public.
