How can I add 1-bit delay to incoming serial bit pattern?

I am learning MATLAB and this is my first time encounter with this doing some kind of behavioral coding.
The serial bit pattern is an array of elements, with two fixed values 1 and -1. I think I need to implement some kind of shifting (may be I am wrong). After the serializer block I have a one-bit delay block, which would delay each bit outgoing through it with 1-bit delay. I need help in this.
The serial bit-pattern is set at particular frequency of PLL clock.

f=@(k) x(k-1)
If you are using simulink you can use unit delay block

Hi Azzi, I figured out the result from your solution gives a pointer to the elements of the original array(from which we want a shifted version of). But I really need is a new shifted array and eventually I want to add these arrays.(New Shifted array + Original Array). Can I do something like e.g . aa =[11 22 33 44]; bb = aa(2:4); % this is shifting left It gives bb = [22 33 44], but one value is dropped out. If possible can you provide method to shift right and how to pad the dropped out value appropriately so that the size of the new array remains same as the original array?
