I have assigned a project on watermarking in MPEG-2 compressed video. On compression part, I am stuck with the 4:2:0 chroma subsampling process. Can anyone help?

You should be researching 4:2:0 chroma subsampling in explanatory material until you understand the concept. This forum is for assistance with MATLAB, not for teaching science concepts.
