I have 1000-text file with variety name in a folder, how I can import all of them in Matlab, also each text file included of text and number, how I can import number only?

The question is not clear enough: The information, that the text file contains "text and numbers" does not allow to suggest a specific function for importing. Please explain any details of the file format.
