Error installing Matlab 2012a in Windows 7 64-bit

When I try to install the 2012th MatLab on Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit (AMD Quad Core - 64bit), I get the following error message:

'microsoft.VC80.ATL.type = "win32", version = "8.0.50.727.6195", public key token = "1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b" processor architecture = "amd64"

And the installation of MatLab is canceled.

I am having the exact same problem, laptop with windows 7 64 bit and amd quad core processor. Did you find any way around it ???
