Arduino 360 Servo Control Not Possible?

24 views (last 30 days)
I am not sure how to control a 360 servo connected to an Arduino with MATLAB. The example here is for an 180 degree servo and I also understand that there is a Simulink Support Package for continuous servo writing here. I am not using Simulink for my project. How do I control this servo motor?

In the example for a 180 degree servo, this line is used to control the angle;
writePosition(s, angle);
For the 360 deg servo you cannot send a command for angle, only for speed. Use:
writePosition(s, 90);
for full speed rotation and
writePosition(s, 0);
to stop the servo.

Hi,
MATLAB Support Package for Arduino Hardware supports only 180 degrees Servo.
To use 360 degrees Servo please use Custom Addon library as mentioned in this link,

Thanks,
