Hi all,
I have 2 images i want to compare the changes , especially the changes in the loop position. http://imageshack.us/a/img801/4278/51309468.png
Also how to change the image background to white or black ,making only the loop visible. Please help me out .
Thanks,

Stick a piece of white or black paper behind the loop. Focus the camera while you're at it. You might also want to change the camera location. It's always a lot easier to process images if you can start with a good image - you don't have that right now.

Thanks image analyst for the reply, but those are things which I cannot change. The camera location and focus is fixed and i want to check the position of loop on the tooth if its different in other images.

I can't tell what's what in the image. I can't tell what the ring is (it doesn't look like a complete loop) or where it starts or stops. Maybe you can use imfindcircle() or just manually have someone point it out using ginput().
