How to match two images

i have a problem in which i have an image of eyes and i want to match it with an image i recently captured. i have detected the eye part in the captured image but i want to check whether that detected part matches with the portion of eye previously saved

the comparison need not to be exact but just in percentage i.e. if both images matches more than 80% than i can perform my further task

is there a possible solution to it ?

check this......suppose a,b are two images for comparison and they have equal size c=corr2(a,b); if c==1 disp('these are same'); else disp('the images are not same') end;

What do you mean by match? Is it the shape (position of features), or the color values at each matching pixel? Are the eyes in the same orientation and pixel resolution?

thanks @moniba but these images are not of same sizes

and @Mark what i mean by matching is that i want to check that does both the images have same set of objects in it ?

like in my case does both images contains the same set of eyes ?

like i take my picture; detects eyes in it; saves it in the form of an another image; then i take someone else's picture; detects eyes in it; crops the eye part;

and then matches these two eyes that whether they both are the same eyes or not

i have done the whole part but its just that i have stuck in this matching part

the corr2 function worked i have to just make there sizes same and i can get there matching percentage

That would mean that the number of rows and columns for both is the same - same number of rows, and same number of columns.
