tmtool (and other functions) not being recognised

I have been trying to use the instrument control toolbox, and the test and measurement tool, however when I try to run it, I get the error:

 ??? Undefined function or variable 'tmtool'.

I have also found this happens with a number of other functions that should be installed.

The functions are available, I have found them in the Instrument toolbox folder in the MatLab install location, and I can also run:

type tmtool

And it will display the text of the m-file.

Does anybody have an idea of what the probelm could be, it seems like it is looking in the wrong place for the files.

Does "which tmtool" show up anything? Also, do the paths to the relevant toolboxes show up when you type "path"? If both these are properly configured, then it could be a license checkout issue. Do you use a network license?

Check if typing ver on the MATLAB command prompt shows the Instrument Toolbox. It might be related to installation.
