Problems regarding coupling Machines!

I have an induction motor.At the shaft of it I want to connect a machine which should act as a generator.Now the problem is which machine can I connect with the shaft of the motor,i mean which type of machine can i connect and how can I make it so that it act as a generator.Can I also connect Induction generaor at the end?
