Why am i not able to connect the ideal switch block to the voltage source and the controlled voltage sources.

I am not able to connect the ideal switch block to the voltage source or the controlled voltage source blocks. Why is this happening? Is there a work around?

I suspect different technologies are being used. Best to use only one technology. Without a sample model is difficult to understand the root cause.
