Why won't Curve Fits work in Subplots?

Is there a good way to get curve fits to display in subplots? I have 9 curve fits (cfit objects that I created using the fit() command), which I want to display in a 3x3 subplot array in R2012B. The fits are smoothing splines, and when I plot the unfitted data (i.e the raw data) in subplots, it works great. However, if I try to repeat the subplot array with the fits, I just get blank plots.
