Setting up the matlab desktop with R2013a student version on Ubuntu 12.04 64-bit

With some help from Mathworks, I have finaly installed the student version of R2013a on my Ubuntu 64-bit 12.04 system. I am hoping now to get help with some remaining issues :

1. The web browser integration is broken. There was a post on this some time back. Has this issue been resolved now?

2. The font size on the menu ribbon for the matlab desktop is too small. There appears to be no way to fix this. From the preferences menu, I have increased the font size for all windows. How do I do this with size for the menu ribbon?

3. I am not able to add the Matlab icon to the launcher in the unity menu. After some googling, I have fiddled around with the following file : /usr/share/applications/matlab2013.desktop

I can now start Matlab from the dash menu but not from the launcher. A very minor issue, but any help will be appreciated.

4. On surfing the net, I have come across a Ubuntu package called matlab-support. I would like to from the experiences of others. Does this help?
