Hello,
I have created a 3d animation. I am looking for some playback controls that will allow me to; play, pause, speed up, slow down, view object from common viewpoints (e.g. above, below). Will I have to write code for the buttons myself or is there a package I can utilise?
In case it is of use I have attached my animation loop:
for i=1:n
set(b,'XData',PatchX(:,:,i));
set(b,'YData',PatchY(:,:,i));
set(b,'ZData',PatchZ(:,:,i));
drawnow;
end

I ended up writing the playback controls myself which was surprisingly quick and easy to do using 'pushbuttons', 'sliders' and 'listboxes' http://goo.gl/QohdbR
The animation was written in conjuction with V-Realm Builder (negating the need to write code to describe 3d objects) which is not very good software but by far the best thing that I have come accross for animating in Matlab. The viewing options I used were the built in controls of V-Realm Builder.
