How to get a plot of velocity given discrete accleration data.

I used my ipod touch to get acceleration data sampled at 50Hz of me jumping. My goal is to filter this data to get rid of noise and integrate it to get velocity, then count the number of zero crossings to determing how many times i jumped.
I am new to MATLAB and digital signal processing but I am learning. What method can i use to get a plot of velocity given my vector of discrete acceleration data sampled at 50Hz?
